White Christmas, Maybe?

by Jason on Oct.31, 2009, under Family, Travel

Hello Pennsylvanians! Amanda and I finally have our Christmas flights booked! We will be arriving at PIT on Christmas Day at 4pm, and enjoying freezing temperatures and warm fires until we fly out on January 3rd at 7 in the morning. Zack’s coming to visit us in early December, so we’ll be delivery him safely back to his family when we arrive on Christmas Day. See you all then!

Zombieland Review

by Jason on Oct.16, 2009, under General

Another pleasantly-surprised reviewer has some kind words to say about our mobile game Zombieland. This time it’s Levi, the one and only mobile game reviewer at IGN.com, a prominent video game website. Two of my favorite quotes from his review: “iZombieland is better than it has any right to be,” and “Dual chainsaws FTW.”

“Yeah I heard it. It was a ‘moo.’”

by Jason on Oct.04, 2009, under Family

Teddie mooed last night.

Apparently this has happened a few times before, but this is the first time I actually remember hearing it. Amanda remembers it at least once before.

We stayed up late last night, so we were sleeping in. At around 6:30 in the morning, we heard this very clear and strong MMMOOOOOOOO. It definitely started with a “mmm” sound, and ended with “oooooooooooo.” It woke us both up immediately. Amanda turned to me and said, “Now do you believe me? Are you going to remember it this time?” We’re not positive that it’s Teddie, but what else in our bedroom would make such a loud noise?

Crazy, strange, disconcerting. And also entertaining. But we hope it doesn’t continue; a dog that moos in the early hours of the morning could definitely get irritating after a while.

Zombieland!

by Jason on Oct.04, 2009, under Game Development

Zombieland

Zombieland is a horror/comedy zombie movie now showing in theatres. It’s also a side scrolling gore-fest mobile game that I developed! It has recently been released on all major carriers, including iPhone.

Zombieland Screenshot 1So far it’s getting pretty darn good reviews, which is exciting. It has a four-star rating (out of five) on the iTunes App Store. And Touch Arcade incredulously labeled it a “fun movie game.”

For more information, you can check out the Sony Pictures page for the game, or for a more loving treatment of the game, see the Facebook fan page, which was created by the producer of the game.

Zombieland Screenshot 2Now bear in mind that if you’re going to check out the game on iTunes, it’s listed as iZombieland there. The original Zombieland application is a simple free app developed strictly for marketing purposes, and unfortunately has not received very favorable reviews. So don’t get it confused with our zombie-slaughtering action game!

All the screenshots here are from the iPhone version of the game, which has the highest blood-to-zombie ratio. Hooray for headshots!
